key fob batteries

Does anyone know if my key fob needs two batteries on my p reg estate.just bought a new one but pretty sure two old ones fellout the other day.

Just popped my old key apart and there are 2 CR1620 batteries inside
1996 1.9 TD LX (Gone but not forgotten)
2003 2.2 HDI SE

Hi, you can get a pack of 3 batteries from eBay for about a pound, mine lasted ages too.....
2003 2.2hdi estate - mine
1998 Volvo 940 auto estate - also mine
2019 Citroen C3 something - the wife's
PP2000 user, can help with faults / diagnostics in the Bournemouth area.

I've never had to change keyfob batterys on pugs,
A spose I've never kept a car long enough for em to go flat,

The quid shops sell em on a card,
I think there's 6 or 7 on the card,

Thanks folks,but does anyone know the correct re synch procedure for a 1996 model (petrol),does the battery need disconnecting.
