Strange power to heater blower issue

Hi guyz and gals

Sittin' Here with a, to me, weird problem on my 2002 d9 406 hdi:
Occationaly the power to the cabin heater blower dissapears. When it does, the bsi makes a almost not hearable beeping Sound.
Has anyone experienced That before?

next time it does it try wiggling the key in the ignition switch
to see if it comes back on , if it does ign barrel could be on its
way out this is only one of several possibilities .

Hi, most common problem is either the ignition barrel, or the module behind centre console.

When engine is running, put blower on full speed and then lean under the passenger side and reach under the dashboard for some thick wires - give them a wiggle and if the blower suddenly works then its probably the module.

£25 from eBay and a 5 minute fix.

Hi again

Did some diagnostic this afternoon. Definately the resistor as the blower stoppes and started everytime I wiggled the wires at the resistor connectors

This is held on by a 8mm ( i think ) bolt, can be accessed by following the wires down from under the glovebox to behind the centre console.
