Resetting of date and time on display

Have just bought a 2002 GLX Estate and the date and time are incorrect and consaantly flash.
From investigations and help on PEUGEOT FORUM it would seem that I need a remote which did not come with the car. Can anybody suggest how to get one and are they unique to the car?

Hi, I can sell you a remote for £17.50 + postage.

They are all the same and will work on any Peugeot with the built in Sat-nav.

Another option is if you are close enough to someone with a remote, you could ask nicely and they could set the time and date for you.
