Hi all, hope you all had a great Xmas and an almost sober New Year's eve.
I have had three 406 estate's now and all had the same minor problem, the reversing lights are crap. undoubtedly the worst i have ever had. Problem is i live in a rural village and have a fairly long drive with a 6' hedge on each side. The standard 406 reversing lights don't light it up much and it is a pain on a dark night. Has anyone tried so called upgrade reversing light bulbs, either LED or other and if so with what results ?
Thank you.

Re: Peugeot 406 Estate Reversing Lights.
We've done a fair bit with them here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=19021&hilit=+cree#p188714 There is some improvement with a few of the bulbs but I think the bottom line is, due to the stupid design of the lenses, there's never going to be enough light getting through and the only real solution would be to fit some extra lights somewhere

Thanks Steve, your comment on the design of the lens mirrors my own take on them.

Oddly enough I was just thinking about this in the shower, what it needs is some extra lights somewhere but I'm not very keen on drilling holes (especially for experiments
). I did consider putting a light at the bottom of the rear screen, similar to the high level brake light but looking at the car there's a hump over where the wiper motor is, so perhaps a strip of LEDs either side of it or maybe either side of the brake light under the spoiler. Trouble is I've found running extra wires for speakers into the tail gate isn't pretty, there's no room in the tubes, but perhaps a thin wire (these are only LEDs so take almost no current) would be possible. Or a light either side on the trim panel where the speakers are?
