strange request,

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Still having problems, can anyone let me know if their speedo moves when in reverse?

Theoretically it should do as the sensor is sending pulses which ever direction its going in, if it doesn't there must be a signal blocking system somewhere. I suppose if there wasn't it would upset the accuracy of the fuel computer.

cheers guys, mine does but doesnt when driving forward, also fuel computer stays at ----, trip and milometer dont increase either. I fitted 2 new sensors, one from ebay and one from peugeot.
There are no fault codes and although she runs fine I have to push the accelerator to the floor all the time and even small hills require a gear change.
Dont know if both faults are related but any advice appreciated,

I know that my system relies on the speed sensor as part of the computer-controlled fuel system. As far as I am aware you will not get the fuel increase for power whether climbing hills or drag-racing if the system thinks you are just revving the car at a standstill.

slight update, speedo still not working when going forward neither does the trip, millage, or fuel computer. however I have cured the lack of power, accelerator cable snapped, the little plastic connector that goes into the peddle must have been flexing when I put my foot down and finally snapped completely. New cable and the power is back, just need to sort out this speedo now. cheers for the input guys.
