Power steering failure

It is a two man job! I got the belt and tried fitting it myself but had no idea what to do with the pulley and the tension mechanism. Huge slice of luck as my neighbour pulled up who helped pull back the tension pulley whilst I put the belt on. Job done, much learned. It's always better to work together.

It's definitely a one man job...you have to pull back the tensioner then insert a locking pin to hold the tensioner back....a small allen key or a nail will do.

Just a thought, when changing the timing belt most people change the aux belt at the same time, so if they are the same age, I'd be having good look at the timing belt while your down there
