Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

bsi clone via eeprom swap

Post by bmg »

hi all,
first post so please go easy on me as this is not 406 related but someone here may still be able to advise me/ have some experience of this procedure.
Have a 2008 peugeot partner 1.6hdi with three permanent faults on BSI.
Have sourced an identical BSI (Siemens E01-00 HG 9557999680 S118085320F) and a eeprom programmer (ebay.co.uk/itm/TL866CS-USB-Minipro-Programmer-EEPROM),
i think i have identified the eeprom as follows http://tachosoft.com/pics/peugeotpartne ... ash%29.htm
am i correct in thinking i can create a clone of my damaged BSI by swapping my eeprom into the new BSI, or is it likely that i will then run into other issues once i plug it all back together,
any advice or input is welcome
thanks in advance
brian
