Under Floor Wiring

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Maybe just rob the plugs & a couple of feet of the wire each side. Any idea how difficult it is to remove the dashboard?

Still have the problems trouble is MOT is 2 weeks away was looking on Peugeot Forums and found this

Automechanic got to the bottom of this problem. Turns out it was the communicatons cable that runs from the dashboard to the central processing unit. There must have been a short in the cables somewhere. He was able to bypass it and now my instruments panel is working.

Anyone know what the communications wire is, is this just the feed to the dashboard.

I'd imagine it to be the VAN bus. Or something, multiplex anyway.
