Lexia/pp2000 etc

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Lexia/pp2000 etc

Post by hammerman »

Hi all.I would like to buy the Lexia diagnostic kit.My dad who has a 2008 407 is going halfs on the cost. There are plenty on ebay, but i want one from a uk seller.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301700177360? ... EBIDX%3AIT
But i notice they are listed with different V numbers,so i`m a bit unsure. My new 407 2.2 hdi runs well,is very quick and grunty  ,but after a while,25 odd miles at the moment,it seems to lose some of its 170 bhp, like its only got 100 bhp.Its a bit like on my 406 110 when the maf sensor went.Lacking grunt,a bit better over say 3k rpm,but as i need to get the cambelt done,i dont want to push it too far.But it cant be the maf,as if i disconect it(like on the 406)the car wont run.
This part on the engine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/311333788144? ... EBIDX%3AIT had a hose running towards the turbos disconected, and the hose coming out of said part had a screw in it blanking it off.I reconected the pipes, the noise(like a loud motor running,or a farting sound) that was coming from the part has not happend since, but it has not improved the performance,it was the same before and after. So before i go buying bits n pieces or playing with the egr,i would like to run lexia through it.Maybe take it to work with me,and when the performance backs off, check it en route.
The other "free" option is to remove,check/clean the DPF.Car has 156k with no history  :| But no fault light or codes are logged in the on board screen.
Sorry for being long winded, but you guys on here are the most helpfull 8)
