Finally fixed those pesky vanity mirror lights

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Finally fixed those pesky vanity mirror lights

Post by Welly »

I have always been aware that the vanity lights on the passenger side were bust and I knew it was the silly plastic bit which holds a U shaped piece of brass which makes contact with the PCB when you raise the mirror cover flap.

Anyway today I fixed it, with Super Glue  and now they work like magic.

I had a silly grin on my face when I put the keys to the accessory position and gingerly lifted the mirror flap and the lights came on, like magic 8)

Simple things eh?

Still nice to tick it off the list, been bothering me for ages
