My tyre inflator stopped working via the cigarette lighter although nothing wrong with the inflator itself. Investigating the cause I
recalled having dropped a coin into the lighter socket (with potential for short circuit). Sure enough when I checked the
fuse box compartment under the steering wheel the wire in the relevant fuse (F23 yellow 20A) was broken.
My point here is that although Haynes uses the term "spare" on its' wiring diagram this appears to be a reference to various empty fuse slots. Disappointingly Haynes does not tell you where you can locate a replacement fuse. I noticed 2 fuses R4 (yellow 20A) and R5 (15A) just above F23 both of which are absent from the Haynes diagram.
Anyway I decided to replace the faulty fuse with the R4 believing that R probably means "replacement" or "reserve". The lighter is now working normally.
Just hoping that R4 is indeed a spare - and pity Haynes manual diagram makes no reference to R4 (or to R5).
Any comments?

Go buy a box of fused. And store them in the flowbox.
