Happy new year everyone
I wonder if anyone can help
As per title I have airbag light flashing and my diagnostic will not communicate
Does anyone know what will talk to it or are there any common things to look out for?
Thanks steve

Steve,
You need a Lexia3/PP2000 set up for diagnostics.
The most common cause of airbag faults is the 2-pole connectors under the front seats for the seat belt pre-tensioners.
It's worth unplugging / re-connecting all of them a few times, may well sort the problem at least for now.

Thanks for that.we bought it off a chap who owned it for 12 years.
I don't expect the seats have ever been moved in that time
I will have a look and report back.
Thanks for your reply

Hi,
just so I dont start a new thread, the airbag warning light is flashing on my pug (1999 GTX 2.0) do i need to disconnect the negative batt terminal before I try and clean up the orange block under the seat, just dont fancy firing them off whilst im working.
If i do need to disconnect battery, is it going to have any effect on the rest of the car, not bothered about radio as aftermarket is fitted due to original cd player failing, just that mine is an auto and I dont fancy the box suddenly not working.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

You'll be fine, just wait for three minutes until the BSI has shut down after unlocking/opening the door.Drewnn3 wrote:Hi,
