late shape headlights

my 2002 has got bosch headlights with plastic lenses. did any headlights either genuine or aftermarket ever have glass lenses?

Not that I ever heard of I think glass headlamps on all cars got binned for pedestrian impact reasons.

I wasn't aware that they had changed, all mine were plastic but not with the usual discolouring problem, in fact I think they are the best headlights I have ever had on any car. Certainly better than my C5.

the reason for asking is that mine have been yellowing over the last 2 years. ive been using lens restorer fluid every 3 months to keep them clear but its getting boring now!

Never had that problem with mine although plastic, I have with other cars mind, as most of them don't discolour a pair of secondhand ones would probably be your best bet. Its ultra violet light that causes the problem, has yours been parked in direct sunlight for a prolonged period, doesn't usually happen in the UK.

it does live outside in direct sun most of the time. they are a lot better than most cars ive seen even cars only 5 or so years old! i just like them to sparkle like the new fogs do!
