407 headlamp bulb cover

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

407 headlamp bulb cover

Post by Blue407 »

Unfortunately one of the round rubber covers for my headlight bulbs has come off/gone missing, local delaer can only offer a new headlight at £169+VAT!

Can anyone offer alternatives?

Here are a few pics if that helps anyone to recognise the part:-

It's external width is approx 76mm and the internal size is approx 70mm.

Appologies for the image sizes but I haven't had time to crop them...

The plastic lense of that dipped beam light has a strange star pattern appearing on it, I presume due to damp getting in. I can't take it to the dealers, it's under warranty, until I have replaced the rubber cover. - they will only say it's my fault otherwise!

I had thought about the second option..... although one of the guys at work is currently trying to sell a 407 petrol, so it may dissapear off that once it's sold!
