Hi,
The main electrical problem on the 406 I'm picking up is a wonky fuel gauge. It's either constantly on full, constantly empty or reading fine, but the fuel low light still works as normal.
I can't see the sender being duff, as that would affect the warning light too, so my suspicion is dry solder joints, or a bad connection somewhere.
Before I strip the dash out Is this a likely cause, or is there any other possible causes in the chain and, if so, where are they?
If I do have to strip out the dash is there any other potential gremlins that are worth sorting while it's in bits? Finally does anybody have the wiring diagram, so I know what does what?
