anyone no of any way of bodging clocks as speedo dont allways work give dash a good slap works for a while dont realy want to change as im impressed with millage (183000) its a db8 model 1.8 16v 97 on a p plate any help would be happy with cheers boyz

Happenned to mine, it was a dry solder joint. If you're handy with a soldering iron remove the cluster and run all the solder joints.

If it works temporarily after 'helping' the dash with your fist, then i'd say a solder joint as well. If you cant find the issue, it may be worth looking inot the Bitron box... mine went recently, was about £40 from a stealer.

The affore mentioned bitron box of stupidity is not really close enough to the dash for the, er, percussive mainenance to be affecting it. Dry joint on the clocks, or maybe a loose plug connection.

Of course you could always play a metallica cd when you want to see your speed, good steering wheel drumming, that'll knock the clocks into life!!
