I don't think there is such a thing because the D8 used a non standard signal bus and connector.
There is a method of reading off the codes using the diag connector by bridging pins; have a look here.

Dear teamster 1975,

I'd like to know what is the LED test Lamp? I search on internet that It said it is self made test Lamp.
It can count the number. I do not know! Is it the test lamp can flash number of times representing the number of error code?
How do I get the test Lamp? made by self?

Thanks!

I guess it'd be home made as if a garage had the car they'd plug it into a Diag machine!

Have you actually got any faults with your car? It's not the sort of thing you'd want to do for the sake of doing it :?

The car had a problem a month ago, the engine hesitation. The dealer said it should change the whole throttle housing (as I know there are six sensors and two motors). It will cost a lot of $$$$. So I took it home and think to sovle the problem and had found the page and think to change the stepper motor first:

I phoned the dealer to buy the stepper motor. It would cost 3 times as I bought it on ebay a day later. So I changed it and the problem solved.

I think there will be some sensors will be breaken down soon. I'd like to find a tools to check the error code so that in case...

Thanks your advise. Hope to find some way to know more about the car and the problems.

To make your own test kit, these links should help.

12v LED (Maplin)

Small pust to make no latching switch (Maplin)
Remember - it only takes a few inches of water to drown a 406 don't make the same mistake I made! The V6 Exec is no more.

I have a PCMscan Blue tooth code reader produced by Palmer Engineering it works fine on my 2000 HDI 110 diesel with an OBD2 connection - you got to make sure yours has this connection before you get one - there are a number of ways to do this - check out some obd sites that give the pin positions in the plug if it is not marked OBD on the cap.
Hope this helps.
