1998 406 1.9td problems

First of all, the ECU light is on - any way to read it without a fault code reader? Or any software that works for the ELM serial port OBD readers?

Second, there are 3 plugs on the wiring loom that aren't connect to anything - and I don't see anything for them to connect to either. They're all a few inches from the back end of the starter (and the back end of the injection pump).

1 - 4 pins, square, black plug
2 - 3 pins, blue, oblong
3 - 3 pins plug, only 2 wires, one cut. Oblong.

Any ideas. I'll get a pic shortly.
