windscreen wash control

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

windscreen wash control

Post by billT »

My front windscreen washer doesn't work. I've checked all fuses and the motor. However no power seems to be getting to the motor connections. Could be a wire break that I'd like to trace and possibly by-pass. The wipers still function OK on pulling the stalk control for wash wipe. I've checked the Haynes manual electric circuit and want to know where the built-in systems interface unit is located. There is no information given in Haynes. Anyone know this? Thanks.

many thanks for the link. Obviously a 'newbie' ! I did search site but not on 'BSI'. I'm hoping that as my wipers work correctly and having checked out the circuit in Haynes that it is likely a connection or wire break issue. Hope to trace the wire connection at the BSI, check with multimeter and run new wiring to washer motor. Anyone done similar, or comments? Thanks again.
