Dashboard display wanted.

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Dashboard display wanted.

Post by wiggybum »

Hello folks. Does anyone have a second hand display for the outside air temp/radio station/trip computer etc they would be willing to sell? It's for my '96 D8 Exec.

The lights no longer work in mine (I've checked the bulbs befor eyou ask!!!) and it's also stuck in degrees Fahrenheit!

Panic over folks. Got the lamps working thanks to a broken soldered joint to the small bulbholder PCB. No longer require a MFD.

Also, thanks to an old thread worked out how to get it to read in Centigrade and not Farenheit. You pull out the yellow wire (pin 8 ) from the plug and that's it!! Now reads in Centigrade for the first time in 13 years. It's been annoying me since buying the car in 2002!

Excellent work Wiggy :)
I've got to perform similar surgery on my climate computer; flicking the display to get the lights on can't be doing the lcd much good :supafrisk:
