D9 110hdi abs light coming on intermitantly

my abs light is coming on at times then goes off for ages then back on what could this be and also ive noticed that my speedo stops working somtimes then works again but they do this at seprate times could this be related to each other

Mine did this with the abs light untill it came on for good.The most common things are wheel sensors & the abs ring gear.I`ve just fixed mine,front cv joint & rear hub.
The abs ring gear can be checked easy on the front,do a search on here,theres plenty about it.Thats how i fixed mine.I had the fault code read first,but then found this forum,so fixed it my self.

i see well it hasnt come on now since i posted that but what it does do is if i break at 10mph the abs kicks in doesnt do it at any other speed just at 10mpg i feel a vibrating through the pedal could this be a sensor playing up but the stranger thing is that the abs light do not come on any more.

My 2.1TD does the same. Perturbed me a bit at first, but I'm used to it now. I just kinda live with it, but if there is a fix I'm open to suggestions too.

problem solved what had happened is as ive got discs on rear the hand brake retaining clips had worked loose and chewed up the abs ring so had no teeth left on hub got a ring from scrappy and sorted the problem the back plate was to blame as the holes were oval and just worked looseso sorted that and new ring and back to normal

Thats what happend to mine on the rear.But the screw also broke the abs tip off the sensor,I just replaced the hub as i could`nt source a scrap hub/ring.I replaced the twist screw with some different springs & bolts & locking nuts,so the handbrake shoes are now bolted through.
