Depends if it's multiplexed or not. Changing the non-multiplexed stalks is a piece of cake - just unscrew the steering column cover, unscrew the stalk, and swap 'em. There's a HOWTO on changing the multiplexed COM2000 stalks though - I think the steering wheel needs to come off to do that
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
Sounds to me like a COM2000. They cost about £140 and you have to take the steering wheel off to change them, the older type cost more like £20 and can be changed without removing the wheel....
Such is the cost of progress eh?

Hold on, W reg (is bluddy meaningless to me now!) would make it a 2000, should be pre-multihex. I don't think they sold many without automatic wipers or the button (even if it didn't do anything...).

I'm sure it does. It's really a piece of p1ss job Pete
One little tip; release the height lock on the steering column & pull it out as far as it will go!

Well i changed the wiper stalk (you were rite teamster1975 was a piece of p1ss) hopping it would solve the problem i had with the front and back wipers not parking correctly but it didn't.
I've changed the front motor and the wiper stalk but it's still the same
