OBD Socket location?

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Post by legoless »

Hello all I tried using the search but I dont think I asked the right question
Can anyone point out to me the obd socket location on a 2002 2.0 hdi estate? I looked around the fuses behind the panel by the drivers right leg but I couldnt spot it :|

As far as I know, the socket is located underneath the flat plastic trim near to the headlight level adjuster switch, to the rhs of the switch. A thin bladed screwdriver is needed just to pop out the panel.

Cheers

A Yale key will also pop it out :)
<steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang

If you find anything affordable that it'll talk to, do let us know, please.
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)
