Only thing I can think of (other than trying another control panel from a breaker's yard) is that the plug may have fallen out the back of the control panel, or you've got a wiring break between the panel and the fan :(

According to Haynes, there's 3 fuses involved - MF12 & 13 in the engine fusebox plus F40, passenger fusebox.

Failing that, blower controllers have been known to fail, though permanently on is understandably more common.

Still no luck. Have fitted heater control unit to another car & it works fine. There is no feed to the grey & green/yellow wires that feed the control unit. :frown:

i had exactly the same problem turned out to be the ignition switch
wiring , with car running and blower turned on try wiggling the key
to see if it cuts in or better still remove steering shroud and try
moving the wires that go into the back of the switch !!
