I recently bought an 2002 406 glx and have noticed two really stupid problems, temperature sensor is reading minus 40 but £9 and a bit of fiddly work solves this but my head lights only flash when they are on, if they are off or just the side lights are on i get nothing. any ideas anyone?
Cheers Ray

Re: Really daft problem
Welcome Ray!
Sounds to me like a problem with the stalk. If your car has the older type of stalks this is a cheap and easy fix, but if it has the COM2000 setup it will be more involved (and expensive!)

Re: Really daft problem
got quoted £45 to swap my com2000 over which i thought was pretty reasonable, plus if they f*** it up its there fault! haha
Re: Really daft problem
Could well be the stalk. Or it could be a fuse. I remember my sisters old 206 used to do something similar and it turned out to be the fuse.

Re: Really daft problem
I'm beginning to think you's are correct about the comm 2000, it does have the fault of indicators not knocking off.
Johnboy who quoted you that price thats a great deal?

Re: Really daft problem
Since the unit itself is over £100 I have to assume that the price John was quoted is just for fitting
Bridgend Citroen Peugeot Specialists quoted me £20 for fitting
, I'm just too tight to buy one
