Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

I'm fairly certain the procedure entails resetting the counters, then adding a minimum of 15 litres of diesel, (presumably to trigger an additive injection), then possibly doing another reset, (Instructions are displayed on PP2000 during the operation).
Where abouts are you based mate I'm in Birmingham?

Also it still hasn't got full I put around 4 litres what you recommend I put some more in?

That should be enough for a year or two, so I wouldn't bother.

FWIW, I still recommend deleting the FAP, it's cheaper and you'll never have to revisit it.

I had a friend who kindly put the car on his "snap on" computer and reseted all the fault codes but the light came back on after a minute. He tried it 2-3 times.

Does reseting the counter mean clearing the fault codes?

No.

I imagine all you're doing like that is resetting the faults reported by the engine ecu.

If it's been low on Eolys, the additive ecu will still report a problem until it's had it's two counters reset, had some fuel added and gone through a successful additive injection sequence. (May also have to completed a successful FAP regen too, as I said earlier, I've not 'done' one so I'm not sure).

Bit of a update...

Just thought I'd let you peeps know I managed to get everything sorted and the dreaded low additive message has been cleared.

I had it reseted yesturday but the light came on again so I put 10 litres of fuel in and took it for a motorway run but had no luck, then the next day I bought more additive fuel as I only put around 3 half-4 litres topped it up then plugged onto the computer reseted counters and hey presto all was cured :cheesy:

By the way really appreciate your inputs dogslife!
