Airbag fault (D9 semi-mux)

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Thanks for all your input gents. The car and it's owner have gone off to bemoan the impossibility of the situation to all who will listen, (and a few that put up a spirited fight), while yours truly tries to figure out how this became MY problem.

Next thrilling episode at the weekend, weather permitting. Just this, a number plate light and a drop link to do - what could possibly go wrong. :?:
2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Well, it's sorted.

In the end I cured it by unplugging/re-plugging the multipole connector at the airbag/pretensioner ecu under the centre console. What a joyous experience that is - you have to dismount the ecu to undo the plug, because it's too sodding close to the handbrake lever to fully separate.

It still only talks to one of the two side airbag ecu's, and the one that responds reports an open-circuit warning light....

Decided that can of worms could wait.

FWIW it doesn't look like you can disable any or all of the system on a semi-mux

Thank's everyone for the info and suggestions, much appreciated. 8)
