hid conversion kit

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Im with you on that steve. I would suggest trying to get your car through an mot with them fitted. Or passing mjb and your headlights living to see another day   One thing in the add it does show the correct pattern projected so maybe things have improved and the aftermarket ones mjb is talking about are cheap copies just an idea :!: :!:

Like hell are they. Apart from some simple keyword filtering they don't get involved with the auctions unless someone reports a link. I've bought chipped games consoles (controversial legality in a lot of countries) on there before as well as a couple of FM transmitters when they were illegal to use.

There's millions of auctions entered every week. It'd be commercially unfeasible to check each one by hand and then deal with the repercussions of trigger-happy employees, so they don't.

Coming from an FTO the 406 headlights are fantastic! (I had an FTO, well my missus did, I just paid for all the repairs repairs repairs repairs :x ).

I fitted Osram Nightbreakers in my 406 and they're brilliant and no-one flashes me.

This was mine (sorry hers)....A GR manual [read: can't get 2nd gear without a fight]
Image

I spent £1000.00 on the a/c (condenser was 500.00)
I had Magnacore leads, new plugs [read: dismantle inlet manifold/new gaskets etc etc]
I had all new auxillary belts and tensioners fitted (was noisey)
The hydraulic lifters were noisey on start up (even though the previous keeper had bought and fitted some from Kempy's in Australia)
The sussy top mounts had gone (knocking)
The car was extremely noisey/thrashy (no sound proofing)

But then this happened..

The trouble with FTO's (as you know) is that the slightest tap on the nose writes them off

And that was the end of it. Replaced it with a E36 318tds (crap) and an E46 316i (even crappier) and now a 53 plate Astra SRi (bloody marvelous).

yes was told the "crumple zone" had done its job f@ck me had 3 bonnets on it crumple zone went all way to back of car :cheesy: apparantly facelift did not have a crash rating so could no longer be brought into UK except for spares , good job i had it as company car  ended up delocked and dehandled - with total closure - not good idea, all blue and chrome interior dash etc engine and wheels polished very shiny till shite weather, ( worked better on cars i seen in NZ forum), struts took up most of boot space, i still loved the curves but wife hated me cleaning it every weekend after coming back from scuba diving.

will try to post a pic but that something else not good at
