PP2000 key code issues

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Which fault codes did you manage to read? From the engine ECU?

Did you try any of the others, like the BSI for example?

Jon, I've tested every 10 amp fuse in the car, my eyes are such that i can't really read the fuse numbers. Ive done under bonnet and in car. Can you or anyone tell me exactly where f4 and f10 are encase they have the wrong fuse in please.
Last post now, already looking at Autotrader. Very sad.......

Sent you a message.

I think F4 and F10 are top row of the drivers knee fuse box, but if you've checked all the 10A ones then that's not the issue...

I just wanted to say a massive thanks to the members who have given me loads of their time in pursuit of a solution to this.
It turns out the the PP2000 that was lent to me is likely out dated and could not read the ecu. A man in a van came round with a tool called Advanced Diagnostics and read the ecu instantly and did my code. he was worried that it might not work after the background id given him.
So I'm back on the road!!!

Excellent, glad to hear it!

For what it's worth, I doubt it was that PP2000 was "out of date". If it supports the 406 (restyle in your case) then it supports it, end of. It's more likely to be a problem with the software or hardware.

In any case, I'm glad the car's running again :cheesy:
