Trip computer fitment D8 GLX

Firstly apologies for yet another trip computer question

Basically ive got a D8 GLX 2.0 petrol, as mentioned in previous trip comp questions the display seems quite big just for displaying the external temp, The stalk has the arrows on but it dosent push in (like the horn does)

My question is would a stalk enable the use of the trip comp, or would I have to do wiring for it to display mpg and range etc

Ive seen mentions of the GLX already having all the wiring there and just requiring a push button stalk, but i'm unsure if there's any truth in that, basically I don't want to faff on for nothing

Ive had a look through, think i'l leave it if there is wiring involved, me and car electrics aint a good combination

It's not as bad as you think Roy, mjb and I have fitted them.

I'm at my local scrappy in the next couple of days for a couple of bits and pieces, If theres a one with the trip comp in, I'l have a poke about with it, would rather pull a scrapper to bits before I look at mine
