HDi 90 TPS part number
Would anyone have a part number for an HDi 90 TPS?
Can't find them on the 'net. Plenty of petrol TPSs!

Re: HDi 90 TPS part number
But why make one part when you can make 25 (and charge handsomely for them)?

Re: HDi 90 TPS part number
Thank you steve_earwig!
I think I have found a couple online, but it lists as a map sensor?

I think part number 9635553580 may be the one, but it is quite elusive.

Erk
Did I get that wrong?

Didn't think so! MAP sensor is something completely different, I think that one on A Target is a mighty big cock-up19 - 1920 AK - SENSOR PEDAL - TURBO DIESEL DW10TD AND SIEMENS ASSEMBLY

Re: HDi 90 TPS part number
Can't find any sellers online. Is it not a common issue? Then again, my fuel filter housing was awkward to obtain too.
There was me thinking a move from an obscure Alfa GTV to a popular common Pug would mean easy to obtain parts!

That'll be steep, it's not common but not unheard of. Anyway, before you go sell your soul I've given you a few alternatives to look out for in the breaker's first.

Re: HDi 90 TPS part number
Thanks. I would just worry that a scrapped car is usually scrapped because the engine is garbage, therefore the TPS is not guaranteed to be correct.

Re: HDi 90 TPS part number
Engines aren't that expensive, cars are usually in the breaker's yard 'cos a) the tinworm won or b) they got dramatically redesigned. Or of course there's c) 'cos a new BSI costs more than the car

406s are scrapped for ANY reason. I sent a perfectly good tubby estate to be crushed simply because it needed a new driveshaft gaiter and was overdue a cambelt change I didn't have the tools to change myselfsirwiggum wrote:Thanks. <steve_earwig> I think this forum is more about keeping our cars going with minimal outlay than giving our cars more reason to go bang
