Hi all, would just like a wee bit of advice:
Key blipper knacked on my 1996 406 Exec TD - been up my local scrappy and picked a new key and sensor (from behind glovebox) for a £5 - but not sure I got the right sensor as there are 3 - I took the large black sealed box - there was another one that was sort of a box shape and you could see the circuit board and had antilogger written on it, have I taken the right box or do I need the antilogger one, and can I just take the electrical bit out new key and fit it with my blade and do the 10 second key blip thing?
Also, do I one of those there ISU (??) units jobbo's that need setting with windows/bonnet open, doors locked etc????
Cheers all
Gaz W

When I got the car the fob didn't work (only had it a week) so took it to bits and the circuit board was snapped and the microswitch fell off - it has 2 buttons - no i/r light on the end (so think it is the newer type) and seem to remember with my xantia you could get a matching fob/reciever from same car and they should read as normal - I went to scrappy and picked up the wrong sensors, apparently need the one with antiscan written on it - taking guts out new fob and transferring to mine - only worry is one fob is from a T reg 1998 and one from a S Reg 1999 - i need to go back and get both sensors tomorrow
