immobiliser has packed up

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Just had a thought, are either of the LED's lit on the keypad? May also be worth disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes to reset everything.

I had a quick Google, apparently the keypad/immobiliser runs the stop solenoid from a power transistor. It looks like you take the tamperproof cover off the stop solenoid and give it a switched live from the pump relay (same box as ECU), then stick the POS keypad in the bin.

Same thing happened on mine.
Did as above and cut anti tamper cover off, dumped immobiliser in bin, switched live to stop solenoid and away you go.
Sounds easy but the cover was a cow to get off.
