external temp display

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

If it's
A) French
B) Electric
or
C) Both
Then it'll feck up at some point, the sensor iirc is in the Passenger wing mirror.hth

If you mean the temp reading seems too high, then it will read high given that heat from around the car and engine will generate a high reading (mine said 42 the other day). A true reading will be shown at a steady air speed across the sensor (wing mirror) after some 20 minutes or so, even then they are not wholly acurate.

If you mean the reading keeps jumping about different readings then it is faulty, I would not know where to start tracing a fault like that TBH but you could take your wing mirror to bits and have a look.

Ive orderd a new one from peugeot which instead of the usual it will be around ?100.00 mark for anything electrical on a 406 exec turbo :|
the part number is 6445Y8 and only ?11.51 + vat from your local pug garage so as soon as i have replaced the original one, i will post the results. :P .
Thanks for your help
