hiya guys ,
first of all a big sorry for my absence, will be a little more active again now.
now to the issue at hand :p
does anyone know how to take out and release the glass on a D9 (2001+ model aka facelift) 406
i am planning a few changes to the car , and this is the only thing holding me back
i have checked my haynes manual (wich says it covers the D9 , but its a little to different than the book explains)
cheers

Re: Removing headlight units and front glass
Don't know if it helps, but when I split the headlights on my D8, I soaked them in hot water to soften up the glue, and then carefully pulled them off by hand, being careful not to crack them. I also kept soaking them in the hot water to keep the glue soft while I was prising the lense off.

2 bolts on lower front edge and one bolt fastens to inner wing so 3 on each,
you may find the lens is held on with spring clips .
