Small fuse box

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Small fuse box

Post by Ray »

Can anyone help with this? I have an 03 406 glx and I have found a small fuse box beside the battery in fairly bad condition, it contains what I think are 3 relays(green) and three orange fuses.Does anyone know what these are for, I only discovered these as I'm not getting any power to my glow plugs and I'm trying to source the problem.

SOunds a bit small for the engine compartment fuse box but I can't remember looking in my D9's... Service Box says there's a relay there for the DW10 but not what it does, it sounds like you've got some cleaning to do there anyway.

Also, did you find the glowplug control box under the throttle potentiometer?

It mightnt solve the problem but it cant do any harm to clean dirty electrical connections.

I might have asked this but where did you get hold of this servicebox thing steve?

Indeed, even if it's not the culprit there'll be other problems.

http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/ You'll need to sign up, it's a long time since I did it but I don't think it's too stressful. Give it a bash, any problems just ask.

I know one of those fuses is for the heater blower - rated at 50amp IIRC
1999 D8.5 HDi GLX - Sold :(

2007 Mondingo Zetec - I seek forgiveness :( Bring back my 406
