where the hell is the damned EGR plug ??? I`ve looked everywhere and cant locate it I really want to disconnect like on my 306 but nobody seems to know where the damned thing is . HELP HELP HELP !!!!

nope , not on a 1997 1.9td , please ,please only reply if you got pics or info for the 1.9TD , replies from HDi owners are not relevant ( sorry guys ,I know you are trying )

I'm thinking you'd still be better removing / plugging the vacuum pipe between the solenoid valve (6) & egr, (1).

I was surprised to discover how much 'live data' an XUD's ecu actually knows about, (least on my bro's S-reg 1.9). Wouldn't be surprised if it detected / displayed a fault with the solenoid valve disconnected, his put the EML on when it detected a difference between set & actual injection timing!

ECU ??? where is that located ? its a " mechanical" diesel engine so I wasnt aware there was one .

Not sure where to find it, (or even if they all have them), but if you plug a '98 1.9TD into PP2000, it displays engine RPM, throttle position, intake air temperature, injection timing, (requested & actual), egr duty cylce and maybe a few others.

These numbers dance around convincingly when you blip the throttle too. :shock:

You can alse read / clear fault codes, (just like a real one). :lol:
