1999 d9 heated front screen

anybody know if the heated front screen is controled by a fuse or relay?
ive got me some electrical gremlins tonight 1st one was heater blower went into hibernation and the heated screen does nothing ..lights come on on the panel but it does nothing, :cry:
screen was replaced 2mths ago so icarnt see it being the screen at fault,

anyone got any ideas?

its not really a heated screen like the ford quickclear setup, its really just a preset that directs warm air to the windscreen.

ithought iwas doing well havin a heated screen on a lx :oops:

a friend had a mondingo ST 05 plate, with heated front windscreen i didnt like it you do notice the heating element in it, it gets rather annoying

I thought it's only Fords that have them...

I believe so its about the only innovation im aware of from ford since the model T

Don't quote me on this but i thought i heard a while back that Ford had the patent on the quickclear heated screen and that is why no other manufacturer can use them,might be wrong but come to think of it i can't think of any other make of car that has them.

[claim to fame] My 1990 Ford Onion 1.6i Ghia had a quick clear windscreen, pretty cool to be fair but you could see the wiggly lines in the glass [/claim to fame]

my cousins mk4 escort rally car, has been stripped completley all that remains from ford is the shell and the quick clear windscreen.
