got a 2000 406 hdi
jamp in the car on thursday after work, drove down road and realised the speedo has stopped working.....then i noticed the brake warning light was on but everytime i pressed the brake the speedo started working(stopped working again when i removed my foot from the brake)and the display flashes up brake fluid level low(which its not)even more strange i drove 15 mins home turned the lights off got out the car and the side lights remained on even though the switch is set at off and the keys are out the ignition. All this happened pretty much at the same time anyone got any ideas i suspect brake switch but how could that affect the lights

Hi there. Umm, we had someone with some strange faults recently that turned out to be the wires shorted in a stop & tail bulb but I don't think your problem will be that (can't hurt to look though), I think your problem is more likely to be something like this: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12118

now you say it the double display does seem more taxi meter than cb, still its the same size as a midland cb so im curious how hes made it fit so neat.
