Changing speedos.. the darn ODO clock

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Changing speedos.. the darn ODO clock

Post by Blue406 »

I knackered up my speedos by being a little overzealous and pulling off the needles to get at something. Later I found, I needn't have done that at all. But whats done is done. Net result is my speedo and rev counter will sometimes either stick in one spot or wave around a little. Most of the times, tapping the clocks firmly sorts that.
I'm guessing its to do with me applying pressure on the motors when reattaching the needles. Anyway......

I've got me a new set of clocks that look purdy.... all works fine. BUT the ODO read 75012. I need it to read 181,912.

Is there any means to change this? Looooong shot I know, but nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I think a PM for a definitive answer would be best.

Anyone?

I'm told there are Digital Mileage correction services all over... but can't find any active companies in Scotland.
