The device can not do my Peugeot 607

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

The device can not do my Peugeot 607

Post by helton »

hi all
I am helton. I own a peugeot 607 2.2 hdi 2000 ,recently i bought a device Lexia-3 PP2000 diagnostic tool from this site http://www.autodiag.de/lexia-3-citroen- ... -tool.html
But when i connect the device with my car, there is no communication between them and the computer can not recognise the device.
I am disappointed very much :( ,anybody can tell me how to solve the problem ?

Hi,

this makes me laugh, sorry, but i can't help it, because this clone stuff are not as equal as the original ones.. and people still find it very useful .. well for me it was only one time for enabling the trip computer ... everything else i want to do, just says that the programming is defective and on the engine ECU the lexia 3 clone simply doesn't recognize the damn thing.. it simply says that the ecu didn't answer ..

but i do welcome you to " the club that the lexia 3 clone don't recognize the ecu of the car" :), my 406 has tested 2 clone lexia 3 and none of them could enter the ecu engine ... i think your 607 use the same ecus as the 307 and 406, the famous EDC15C2, so your out of luck :)

This seems to have been posted from China, so don't expect a reply.

Isn't it the fuse?

No, post as in forum, not as in Lexia (but I wouldn't be surprised)

What do you mean by your question ? " Device bought from china ? " <- Is there any other country manufacturing the lexia clone ? I always though that the clones around every much corner would came from china

Mine started out like this, but turned out to be the fuse for the diagnostic socket on my car had gone.

(Mind you the OP suggests this is more of a software installation / driver/ keygen type problem).

i bet all of the clones there is on ebay and other sites was manufactured in china ..

china trys to do replicas of stuff from other brands, the problem is that they do it with cheap material and the material is only similar not equal, so the final product will never have the same features and functions, and will probably never work with some stuff has the " original brand " like the example you gave, the iphone and this user lexia 3 clone ...

I bought my Lexia 3 clone of ebay second hand as I didn't want to wait for the slow boat from china, turned out to be a french made one :D , had absolutely no issues with it. I paid £100 but have seen the same items listed, albeit at a higher price, from other sellers. My Dad is an auto electrician by trade and has ordered numerous interfaces from china in the past, probably had to return 50% of them paying the import charges again on the replacements. You get what you pay for.

Don't get fancy with your clone saying " made in FRANCE " on the back of it because all the chinese clones says that ...
