406 headlights with a mind of their own!!

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

406 headlights with a mind of their own!!

Post by skiman »

Hi I have a 53 plate 406 110 exec estate with a strange headlight problem!
with the headlight adjusting wheel in any position except the lowest(ie 3) the lights are moving up and down on their own
and even independently of each other!
Any ideas please.

This is not very helpful for you, but my D8 lights do this as well.

have a look on the back of the headlight theres a square box that can clip off. this is the lights adjuster when you put them to different high settings

i found on my d8 last year both had worked their way unclipped and headlights were shining to the sky 8)
