what is the easiest route

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

what is the easiest route

Post by chili »

to take.

i have solved my poor radio reception problem by buying one of these windscreen mounted amplified jobbys. fitted it loosely in the car and radio picks up everything.
now my dilema is the best route to go to fit it for good. i want to position it at the base of the windscreen snug against the dash but i then have to feed the live wire and coax to the radio....what would be my easiest route and how.

thanks

why do you say bad earth ? the original aerial has no ground except the car roof itself, it is a passive aerial that has no guts

Mine seems to be fine I can't seem them being any different in terms of what they are. Perhaps its an earth wire from the stereo?

no it is not the stereo that is fine i have already proved to myself that it is my aerial at fault by hooking this new one upto my system. my radio would reluctantly tune to a station. i put this new one on and it happily found several stations.
just because your aerial is fine does not mean we have the same.....as we all know peugeots are so different from one another, your aerial maybe a powered one for all you know. i know mine is not powered in anyway except for a signal booster in the roof
