peugeot 406 2.2hdi sat nav

My sat nav flags up random areas.I think sat nav was working when car was purchased, but no remote . I bought remote from ebay but now sat navs says not digitized area and random areas. cd disc in unit in back of estate.Could this be aerial related and if so does this use roof radio aeral .
