I seen theres a few experts on here with editing ecu MAP files...
I like computers and like cars so its kinda just the sorta thing I'd be interested in learning. Just wondering if people could let me know how to get hold of software to do this (ie, ECUSafe) and rough details of how to use... (such as online guides/forums/etc).
By editing maps I mean just have to remove the fap and egr systems for example. I am no where near ready to learn 're-mapping' the fuel!
I can use kwp2000+ to read/write files no problem its just the editing of the file itself...
I already have map files for de-fap/etc (thanks!!) I just want to learn how to make such changes myself.
Any help would be appreciated!
Also not sure if its worth mentioning but if anyone from near me (Macclesfield) ever needs fault codes looking at feel free to drop me a PM and I'll look at them for nothing if you bring your car to me. I have PP2000 (for Pug/Citroen) and ELM327 (most cars built after 2000). Also have KWP2000+ for reading/writing maps

Re: ECU MAP File editing/resources
Hey guys, Just to help this topic a bit, since i'm interested not in modding the files myself but have a go with some of your own ecu maps.
Could you post them here on forum and putting a list like this ?:
- Year of the car
- ECU part no.
- Bhps
- Torque
- EGR Disabled ?
I'm about to buy a galletto 1260 and wanted to test a few maps just before i really go into a remapping house, this way i can be sure that, the car as is can take the power.
Thanks
