Multifunction display unit

I've got a basic 97 LX model with nothing fancy on it but i've managed to get my grubby little mits on one of the afore mentioned items from a higher (im guessing GLX) model. Now I know all the wiring is there in my car to accept it as it is clipped in to the back of what is currently a usless storage fingy in the dash. Just wondering if it needs anything else? like a fuse fitting to complete the circuit or is the connection live as it stands now? I guess what i'm asking is will it just plug and play? because we all know what french electrics are like
