Auto Lock when driving

Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Auto Lock when driving

Post by pclarejnr »

Hi all

I have pp2000 8), I have configured both of my se 406's (and the GranP's too) to auto lock whilst driving but only one of them actually does, does anyone know anything about this function? I am kinda hoping that I could add a relay somewhere

Many thanks

Would be cool if my BSI had that function :( but it doesn't. So i have to manually push the lever inside.

I think that function only came out when com2000 was introduced ...or later models i think

Whilst it may be nice in places where carjacking is a bit of a risk, I find the autolocking annoying too. It only serves to shorten the life of the locking mechanism as it is being used twice as much as normal.

My car locks me in and I hadn't thought about the over-usage of the locking solenoids :?

Of course, being a quality Volvo motor car, I can simply enter the car's infotainment module and disable the feature myself, I'll probably do it when I draw up outside the Post Office later Image

Sure you can disable it, after all it's a much newer car and it's a car, not like 406 you can't change that stuff yourself... you need to go to peugeot itself and pay hundreds

Does anyone know how to enable auto lock without having to take your car to the dealers?

Just a note to finish this topic, Having left the auto locking function on in pp2000 on my 406 (simply because it wasnt working and I haven't plugged in pp2000 to turn it off), I disconnected the battery over the weekend, when I re attached the battery and drove off it auto locked haha, same story with the granp's car too, I have now turned it off on mine but left it on on for the granp's car for their comfort
