Talk about the 406's electrical system, what wires do what, how to add extra functionality, etc.

Hi all
I have a 1997 1.9TD
I got the car with a non operating passenger window. I got it sorted by putting in a new motor which worked for about a week but now it refuses to work! I have new buttons, all to no avail!
Any ideas?
Cheers

Have you checked the Wiring?
pull back the rubber boot in between the door and the post, check for Broken/chaffed wires,
if youve replaced the mech/motor and switch already thats where id be looking .

It was intermittent and then nothing. I never thought of that though... I'll have a look when the weather permits!

Cheers everyone
Weather permitted (eventually!) and it was indeed the earthing points, they were blue! Now have a working window again

Oh dear... My window woes came back and bit me in the behind!
Drastic measures. I whipped out the loom from the door
Traced the wires back. Found out the wire at the door had split in half, seemed too short... So I got it sorted with some longer wire
Both windows now work like a dream
