Satnav/mfd dispaly repair?

Post by grasmere59 »

I recently bought a satnav/mfd display from a breaker on ebay for a spare for my exec as they seem to be troublesome, mine on the car at the moment is fine but the ebay one was cheap so i bought it.When i got it i tried it on my car and it was awful with loads of missing lines, the seller gave me a full refund and told me to bin it,before i do that can they be repaired? as it owes me nothing now. :?:

Try heating the screen (lightly with a Hair dry-er)
iread somewhere that can Help Recover dead pixels or what ever you call them,

itried it on a Rover Mfd type thingy and it worked,
not sure if itl work on yours but worth a try before flinging it in the bin aspose
