My sister bought an X plate 206 hdi 90 a few weeks ago, apart from some nasty after market alloys it's a cracking little car except for a non-working rev counter, the rest of the dash is fine as far as i know.
Before I strip the clocks can anyone tell me if the HDI clocks are similar to my D8 when i had to resolder the dry joints.
Plus if anyone has had the clocks out of a 206 a quick how-to would be good.
Cheers
Gareth

Re: 206 hdi rev counter not working
Dont know the answer, but I'm guessing 206's will come in semi & fully mux varieties like 406's. If it's the latter you can definitely test the activation of all the guages with PP2000, (you might be able to with the earlier ones too, but I've never tried). That should localise the problem for you.
Could it have had a replacement set of clocks too? Maybe the rev counter's not enabled.

2002 HDi 2.2 Exec Estate, (2008-12) (wonderful)
2003 HDi 2.2 6-speed Exec Estate (2012-19) (also a gem)
2009 Citroen C5 2.0 HDi VTR+ Estate (godawful heap)
2008 BMW E91 330i touring (great fun - murdered by a reversing SUV)
2007 BMW E91 325i touring (slower smoother quieter)

Re: 206 hdi rev counter not working
Not 100 % on the cars history Doggy and no access to PP2000. I'll double check which model it is and see if they came with a rev counter.
